Dreyfus Lecture 2019 by Prof. Dr. Emily A. Carter, University of California, Los Angeles (USA)
In memory of the Dreyfus brothers, the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation Inc. has established an annual Lectureship at the University of Basel, where Camille and Henry Dreyfus both received their Ph.D.s.
The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Lectureship brings a leading chemist from the United States to the Basel campus to deliver a series of talks and to meet with faculty and students in order to enhance the relationship between Swiss and U.S. science.
Emily A. Carter is the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, and Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, at UCLA. Carter is a theorist and computational scientist whose work combines quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, and applied mathematics.
