The University of Basel has been introducing little ones to the world of science at its Children's University since 2004. The goal of the lecture series is to give children a glimpse behind the scenes of a higher education institution. All curious and knowledge-thirsty 8 to 12-year-old pupils from the greater Basel area who have signed up are welcome. Parents have to stay outside for this one!
The Children's University is hosted twice each year between April and June on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Zentrum für Lehre und Forschung in Basel. This lecture hall has around 450 seats. The various lectures last about 30 minutes or a bit longer.
