Career Day for Postdocs

The Career Day for Postdocs at the University of Basel will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 9:45 to 16:00 at the Hotel Odelya (Missionsstrasse 21 A, 4055 Basel). The program will provide postdocs at the University of Basel the opportunity to explore a wide range of career options - both within and beyond academia - and to reflect on their own professional future. Additionally, the event will of course offer opportunities for networking and the exchange of ideas with peers.

Following the Career Day for Postdocs, the Anniversary Celebration of the Career Advancement Office  and the Junior Researchers Committee will take place this year. All participating postdocs are warmly invited to attend (the program and a separate invitation will follow).

It introduces a practical approach to engage with your career and gain initial orientation across career paths within and beyond academia.

The focus is on small, actionable steps. Through reflection and peer coaching, participants identify their key resources and use practical tools to support their decision-making.
