Courses in Higher Education Practice
The Department of Educational Development offers various courses to support teachers and teaching assistants at the University of Basel. All of these courses are open to doctoral candidates and postdocs involved in teaching: Course list.
The courses Teaching My First Course and Meine erste Lehrveranstaltung, each with a scope of 1 ECTS credit, are specifically tailored to the needs of doctoral candidates and postdocs.
Certificate in Higher Education Practice
The Certificate in Higher Education Practice 'Supporting Learning' is an internationally accredited program designed for newcomers to teaching, specifically for doctoral candidates and postdocs. This program emphasizes the systematic collection of student feedback to assess the impact of one's teaching support. The total workload for this program is 90 hours.
