Academic Editing

Scope
"Academic Editing" awards contributions towards the costs of a professional editing service for revising, reviewing, editing a paper or an independent contribution to an anthology or a presentation for an international conference written in English. The editing service can be freely chosen. The edited text has to be an important piece of research output in English and authored by the doctoral student or postdoc.

Target audience
Matriculated doctoral students and employed postdocs of the University of Basel (or associated institutes) can be awarded a contribution once during their doctoral studies or employment.

Submission
Applications must be submitted no later than 6 months after using the editing service. The invoice of the editing service must be paid by the applicant before applying.

Reimbursement
Max. CHF 500 will be reimbursed (for details see information sheet).

Application documents
The duly signed application form has to be submitted together with the following documents via e-mail (PDF):
 

• Duly signed and completed application form (in German) (fill in online and print out) with signature/stamp of the supervisor as well as the applicant
• Copy of invoice of the editing service
