Welcome to the University of Basel
Start Smart Week, which will take place from September 14-18, 2026, offers new bachelor’s students an introduction to their studies and a chance to familiarize themselves with the University of Basel.
The President's Board will welcome the new students at the celebration marking the start of the program. This will be followed by introductory events for the faculties.
At the information fair in the Kollegienhaus, the University of Basel’s service units, student organizations, and specialist groups will showcase their offerings. Over the next few evenings, first-semester students will have the opportunity to explore university life.
