Safety Security & Health
The Security & Health Division (SG) is available to all members of the University of Basel as a competent contact point for questions regarding safety and health protection. It provides comprehensive advice on relevant topics and supports the implementation of necessary measures – whether in planning, organization, or practical execution.
A key focus of the SG Division is training and development: Through regular training sessions and workshops, university members are continuously educated and made aware of these important areas.
Managers receive targeted support from the SG Division, including individual consulting sessions and on-site inspections to clarify questions about their responsibilities in safety and health in a practical manner.
In addition, the Head of the SG Division is responsible for threat management at the University of Basel. A team of experienced experts also covers specialized tasks, including fire safety, maternity protection, hazardous substance management, and biosafety.
