PhD students at the member universities of Eucor – The European Campus – enjoy the same rights to use services as at their home university. The interdisciplinary offer is also open to doctoral candidates of Eucor universities, although the number of places may be limited. The University of Basel is associated with EPICUR through its membership in the Eucor association.
The Innovation Office is the central contact point at the University for all matters related to innovation and entrepreneurship and offers courses in these areas.
The Language Center offers courses and workshops in about 20 languages for University of Basel students, staff and alumni who want to improve their language skills for their studies and careers. The Language Center also offers an editing service for researchers at the University of Basel who wish to have their English texts intended for publication professionally edited.
Leadership & Development
The courses offered by the department Leadership & Development support all employees of the University of Basel in their different roles and responsibilities. The department also provides individual coaching and support for teams.
sciCORE – Center for Scientific Computing – supports researchers in the planning and implementation of scientific projects with high IT infrastructure requirements in the areas of large scale data management, analysis, modelling and simulations. The course offerings include general introduction courses on cluster computing as well as a series of specialized training courses on various aspects of scientific computing.
The Sustainability Office initiates, supports and coordinates sustainability initiatives at the University of Basel. The courses offered by the Impuls support program support lecturers from all disciplines who wish to integrate sustainability topics into their courses.
Unitectra supports the University and its researchers in the commercialization of research results, the creation of new spin-off companies and the negotiation of research agreements with private or public institutions.
With courses addressed to different target groups, the University Library Basel aims to facilitate the use of its services and library holdings and to strengthen information literacy.
