Research Professional is an online platform for finding suitable funding opportunities, freely accessible to members of the University and University Hospital Basel at any career level via the university network. Research Professional includes national, European and international funding opportunities for all disciplines as well as calls for proposals from the Swiss National Science Foundation and EU programs.

SwissFoundations was founded in 2001 as a joint initiative of charitable foundations in Basel and is the most important association of non-profit funding foundations in Switzerland. The members and associated partners of SwissFoundations invest more than CHF 1 billion annually in charitable projects and initiatives. Thus, SwissFoundations represents more than one third of the total annual distributions of charitable foundations in Switzerland.
The following two national foundation directories provide a qualified overview of more than 13,000 charitable foundations and easy access to all relevant information such as contact details and keyword search.

Fundraiso offers a directory of foundations, funds and sponsors in Switzerland that can be used freely. An extended version also includes foundations in Liechtenstein and Germany and is accessible with a premium membership.

StiftungSchweiz is an online platform, which, in addition to the foundation directory, offers a matching system that brings together foundations, organizations, projects and individuals.
