Student Solidarity Fund
The Solidarity Fund provides financial support to students at the University of Basel who are in need. The fund is financed by voluntary contributions from students as well as donations and bequests. This means that students who are in a secure financial position help to give less well-off students the opportunity to receive a partial scholarship.
How does the Solidarity Fund work?
Donations can be made easily via this website. Even a donation of just 10 Swiss francs can make a big difference. All students at the University of Basel can apply for scholarships from the university's social counseling service. These applications are, of course, treated as strictly confidential. Each semester, the student representatives on the Regency Scholarship Commission decide who will receive the scholarships.
