As a central IT service provider (ZIP) sciCORE implements innovative scientific-computing solutions, in close cooperation with researchers from the life sciences, physics, chemistry, medicine, economy and other disciplines.

sciCORE is also a core facility of SIB - Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and offers scientific computing, consulting and training for the Swiss life science community. As a node of the project BioMedIT, sciCORE supports projects in the field of personalized medicine and participates in the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN) and Personalized Health Basel.
