Executive Director Christoph Tschumi steps down
Christoph Tschumi will step down as Executive Director of the University of Basel at the end of August 2021. After twelve years in this position, the 53-year-old economist feels the time is right to take on new professional challenges.

The Executive Director is a member of the President’s Board and is responsible for the entire University, particularly for the areas of Finance & Controlling, Facilities, Human Resources, IT Services, University Sports and Animal Facilities. The President’s Office deeply regrets the departure of Christoph Tschumi from this important management position, but understands and respects his wish to reorient himself.
