Identifying Discipline-Specific AI Competencies
The university-wide project "Digital Competencies to the Next Level" aims to support all staff involved in teaching in strengthening their competencies for the critical use of AI and digital tools, and to develop discipline-specific AI competency profiles for all degree programs.

The project comprises four sets of measures:
1.
Development of discipline-specific AI competency profiles
Which future-relevant AI competencies should students have acquired by the end of their studies?
2.
Definition of minimum standards
Which AI competencies must teaching staff, students, and teaching-related staff possess at minimum?
3.
Development of offerings & resources
Development of offerings and resources for teaching staff, students, and teaching-related staff, enabling them to acquire the required AI competencies.
4.
Further development of the "Digital Literacies" framework
Further development of the University of Basel's "Digital Literacies" framework to include transversal AI competencies.
