Mobility Europe

Swiss European Mobility Program

The University of Basel has signed agreements with over 260 universities across Europe.

The Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP) enables existing exchange activities to continue, despite Switzerland’s exclusion as a programme country from Erasmus+.

SEMP and Erasmus+
Switzerland is seeking to become re-associated to Erasmus+ from 2027. This will give Swiss higher education institutions access to the opportunities, networks and tools offered by the European education programme. Participation in Erasmus+ is based on the Erasmus Policy Statement and the Erasmus Charter (ECHE).
