Med. Division of the Lichtenstein Foundation
The department of medicine at the Margarete and Walter Lichtenstein Foundation in Basel provides study grants to Swiss citizens and further education grants for students and post-graduates in medicine, as well as graduates of the nursing science degree program.
Students and PhD students
- Students and PhD candidates enrolled in human and dental medicine at the University of Basel who are in the start of a program
- Students and PhD candidates enrolled in the degree program for nursing science at the University of Basel from the start of the program
Submission Deadlines
Two times a year: each on the final day of lectures of the preceding semester.

Postgraduates
Within the framework of the call for applications for grants from research fund of the University of Basel, contributions by the Med. Division of the Lichtenstein Foundation are awarded to applicants who are working as assistant or senior physicians (Swiss citizens) at a Basel university clinic and wish to pursue an academic career.
Call for applications, guidelines (with eligibility requirements) and the information sheet can be found on the website of the research fund.
Submission Deadlines
Twice a year on February 1 and September 1 within the call for applications for the research fund.
