The professor of public law will take office in the fall and will then also step down from her professorship at the University of Basel. The University of Basel is proud that one of its professors has been elected to this high judicial office and wishes Daniela Thurnherr all the best in her new role.

A new chair for the Senate must now be found shortly. Members of Group I who are interested in assuming the chairmanship of the Senate may submit their applications to Daniela Thurnherr Keller by the end of July. The election of the new chair is scheduled for the first Senate meeting of the fall semester on 24 September.
