Stefanie Bailer appointed Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Basel Institute on Governance
Prof. Dr. Stefanie Bailer, professor of political science at the University of Basel, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Basel Institute on Governance. The Institute, associated with the University of Basel, is committed to advancing good governance and corporate governance and to combating corruption.

Stefanie Bailer is professor of political science at the University of Basel. Before joining the University of Basel, she held positions at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, alongside visiting research appointments at the Universities of Michigan and Groningen.
Her research focuses on comparative politics, parliamentary decision-making and international negotiations, particularly within the European Union and other multilateral contexts. She has also conducted research on trust in politicians, corruption and public perceptions of corruption.
The Board of the Basel Institute on Governance brings together international expertise from academia, the private sector and intergovernmental organizations across areas including anti-corruption, human rights, technology, international development and law. Reflecting the Institute’s multidisciplinary and international focus, the Board provides strategic oversight and guidance to the organization.
