“I warmly welcome Christiane Pauli-Magnus to our Board of Governors,” said Jürg Utzinger, Director of Swiss TPH. “Her long-term experience and broad expertise in clinical research and medicine, coupled with a deep understanding of the Swiss academic landscape will be a complementary addition to the board.”

Christiane Pauli-Magnus was elected to the Board of Governors last week by the Government Council of Basel-Landschaft, retroactively effective from 1 April 2026. Christiane Pauli-Magnus has been Co-Head of the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Basel and the University Hospital Basel since 2014. She is also a board member of the Swiss Clinical Trial Organisation, which she chaired from 2017 to 2025.

She studied medicine in Heidelberg and later in Würzburg, where she completed her doctorate in 1996 following study periods abroad in France and Chile. Christiane Pauli-Magnus is a specialist in general internal medicine and clinical pharmacology, as well as adjunct professor of clinical pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Basel. She has been a member of the Swiss Science Council since 2020.
