The University of Basel specifically promotes talented young scientists by offering assistant positions and financial support for doctoral students and postdocs.

A flexible promotion system opens up scientific careers for the most promising young researchers, from assistant professor to associate professor to full professor.

Training and continuing education

In terms of training and continuing education, the University of Basel offers:

  • the option of attending certain classes as a course auditor;
  • a comprehensive internal training program to support staff in their roles;
  • language courses, workshops, and events at the Language Center;
  • postgraduate programs (CAS, DAS, MAS) in Advanced Studies, combining academic knowledge with professional practice.
