Event guidelines
Are you organising a workshop, a seminar, a conference or other event at the University of Basel or the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW)? Would you like it to be as sustainable as possible
You can, for example, see to it that energy is saved, that waste is avoided, that the event is as accessible as possible, that regional businesses are engaged as service providers, and that visitors are made more aware of issues relating to sustainable development.
The guide orients itself on the classical planning steps of event management and focuses on providing practical advice on how to integrate aspects of sustainability into the event planning with a minimum of effort. The guide offers you support both for smaller events (Quick Guide) as well as large conferences held over a number of days.
The guide includes:
- Short version of event guidlines (in German) for smaller events, outlining the most important sustainability actions
- Sustainability actions for all planning steps
- Relevant contacts within the university
- Tips specific to Basel (eg. catering providers offering sustainable services)
