Coordination office for student sustainability projects

In order for students to be able to competently advocate for sustainable development in their private and professional lives, a number of efforts have already been made at the University of Basel in recent years: From 2013 to 2018, student projects were supported with "BOOST" in competitive competition. In 2019, the funding program Impuls was established, which supports sustainable student projects in the context of courses. Through a student initiative, the AG Nachhaltigkeit was founded in 2020, which functions as an open working group for student engagement in the field of sustainability.

Based on this experience and with the support of U Change, the new coordination office will bundle and further develop existing initiatives and programs and act as a central point of contact for student engagement in the field of sustainability at the University of Basel. It supports student sustainability projects in the context of courses and via extracurricular engagement.
