Psilocybin has shown promising results in alleviating depressive symptoms in patients with treatment-resistant depression. But how does this therapy unfold in an inpatient setting? In this talk, I will provide insights into the psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy offered in Münsterlingen and the concomitant observational study we are conducting.

To fully capture the therapeutic process, our research combines quantitative and qualitative methods. While final results are not yet available, I will present how the study is designed and what we measure. From our qualitative data, selected excerpts from therapy sessions will be shown to illustrate key psychological processes observed during treatment. This will offer a first glimpse into how patients experience and integrate psilocybin-assisted therapy in an inpatient setting.
