Bachelor's studies with Swiss educational qualifications

STUDIUM Bachelor mit schweiz Vorbildungsausweis gr

Before you begin the online application, please note the following:

  1. Degree programs
You should know which program and, in the case of a degree in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which subjects you want to apply for. The bachelor's studies information sheet: degree programs offered by the various faculties is provided for this purpose. You can also find information by visiting degree programs or the websites of the individual faculties. German is the primary language of instruction for bachelor's degree programs.

  2. Admission requirements
With a Swiss Matura certificate or a federally recognized cantonal Gymnasium Matura certificate, you are eligible for admission to all bachelor's degree programs at the University of Basel.
If you are unsure whether your prior education qualifications make you eligible for the desired bachelor's program at the University of Basel, please refer to the admission regulations of the University of Basel.

  3. Application process
After completing the online application, you will be prompted to print out the application for admission to bachelor studies. This form will also be sent as a PDF file to your email address.
Important: Your application is only valid once it has been signed and submitted by the required deadline (date of the postmark) along with the required documents. For details on the required documents, refer to the checklist that is included when you print out the application for admission or the information sheet which you can find under Related Links and Downloads. Please submit your application even if you have not yet taken your school-leaving or university degree examinations by the application deadline or if you are not yet in possession of all necessary supporting documents.
After receiving your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by email and by conventional mail along with a deposit slip for your CHF 100 application fee. Your application can only be fully processed once this application fee has been paid and all of the required documents have been received.

  4. Studying with a disability or illness
