Im Namen von Personalized Health Basel (PHB) freuen wir uns, Sie zu unserem kommenden Workshop „Democratizing the Health Data Ecosystem: From Challenges to Solutions“ im Rahmen unserer Personalized Health-Reihe einzuladen. Ziel der Veranstaltungsreihe ist es, Brücken zwischen der akademischen Welt und der Industrie zu bauen.

Die digitale Transformation des Gesundheitswesens hängt entscheidend von einem verantwortungsvollen und effektiven Austausch klinischer Daten ab. Das Potenzial ist enorm: bessere Patientenversorgung, Förderung medizinischer Innovationen und effizientere Gesundheitssysteme. Gleichzeitig bringt die praktische Umsetzung jedoch erhebliche Herausforderungen mit sich.

Der Workshop rückt genau diese Herausforderungen des Datenaustauschs in den Fokus - technische, ethische, regulatorische und organisatorische. Indem wir Akteure aus Gesundheitseinrichtungen, Wissenschaft, Industrie und öffentlichem Sektor zusammenbringen, schaffen wir ein offenes Forum, in dem Hindernisse frei diskutiert und Erfahrungen geteilt werden können. Ziel ist es, die Komplexität des Datenaustauschs in der Praxis zu beleuchten - was funktioniert bereits, was nicht und wie wir gemeinsam vorankommen können.

On behalf of Personalized Health Basel (PHB) we are pleased to invite you to our upcoming workshop, “Democratizing the Health Data Ecosystem: From Challenges to Solutions” as part of our Personalized Health series, aiming to build bridges between the academic and industry worlds.

The digital transformation of healthcare relies on the responsible and effective sharing of clinical data. While the potential is tremendous - enhancing patient care, enabling medical innovation, and making healthcare systems more efficient - real-world implementation comes with significant challenges.

This workshop places a spotlight on the real-world challenges of health data sharing - technical, ethical, regulatory, and organizational. By bringing together stakeholders from health institutions, academia, industry, and the public sector, we aim to create an open forum where obstacles can be freely discussed, and lessons can be shared. The primary goal is to explore the complexities of sharing clinical data in practice - what has worked, what hasn’t, and how we can move forward together.

At the same time, we will not lose sight of the opportunities: better diagnosis and treatment, streamlined workflows, increased efficiency, and accelerated innovation in research, new therapies, and AI applications.
