Café international for newcomers at the University of Basel
The International Office and the Language Center of the University of Basel organise the Café International several times a year with helpful intercultural topics about life in Switzerland.
Through this format, the International Office and the Language Center aim to make it easier for newcomers to settle in Basel and as well as facilitating the sharing of experiences with colleagues who have already been at the University of Basel for longer. The target groups are Master and PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, lecturers, visiting researchers, and employees from the University of Basel (changing, depending on the event and content). More information and the invitation will be sent directly by the International Office/Language Center.
In addition, attending a Café International event can in most cases be credited towards the “Certificate of intercultural competence” (this offer is only aimed at Group IV Admin/Tech/Lab staff at the University of Basel).
