Online Courses
Since 2015, the University of Basel has been offering its own open online courses ("Massive Open Online Courses" or MOOCs) on the British platform FutureLearn. In doing so, the university pursues two goals: internationalization and innovations in teaching. On the one hand, we seek to make our main research fields of international interest visible and to illustrate teaching excellence in the respective fields. On the other hand, our online courses explicitly address students at our University in order to offer research-based education in an international environment. Therefore all of our MOOCs are integrated into the study programs of the University of Basel.
The Educational Technologies team
- supports the integration of open online courses (MOOCs) into study programs and establish the basic conditions and necessary processes for this,
- prepares and accompanies online learning support.
