The regulations for the new higher education certificates will be published on 5 December 2023.

Members of the University of Basel have the opportunity to earn three certificates with different focuses. At the heart of these certificates is the interaction between students and teachers.

The Higher Education Certificate 'Supporting Learning' is designed for early career staff involved in teaching and supporting learning. The focus of this certificate is on the systematic collection of student feedback to be able to assess the impact of one's own teaching. Participants learn how to deal with feedback professionally and, based on this, how to further develop support for student learning.

Successful graduates of this training program may call themselves SEDA Recognised for Supporting Learning.

The Higher Education Certificate 'Supporting Learning' can be expanded to the Higher Education Certificate 'Learning, Teaching and Assessing'.

Target Group

• Members of the University of Basel who are involved in teaching, e.g., doctoral students, postdocs, and other members who are new to teaching
• Condition of participation: Involvement in teaching
