Center of Excellence in Evaluation

"Those who cease to improve cease to be good."  (Robert Bosch)

The basis/core of a real culture of quality is the ongoing assessment and sharing of information among the users concerning the necessary requirements and the methods for meeting these requirements. Evaluation makes it possible to obtain systematic feedback from the groups of people involved. Reflection and discussion of the results brings about a better understanding of the aspects relevant to quality, and those responsible can optimize processes or the characteristics of what is being evaluated. In this way, evaluation furthers the promotion of quality awareness and the quality-relevant forms of action, which are the elements of a culture of quality.

The Center for Excellence in Evaluation fosters a culture in which quality is developed and maintained proactively.

To realize this vision, the Center for Excellence in Evaluation advises and assists the Rectorate, the faculties and the administration by optimizing the evaluation processes. In addition, the department is committed to expanding knowledge and qualifications with the goal of creating professional expertise.

The approach of the Center for Excellence in Evaluation is based on the principles of systematic organizational consulting and development, i.e. systematics, participation, integration and learning platforms. The products are customized, practical, useful, participatory and sound (see Partizipative Qualitätsentwicklung)
