Swiss Universities (incl. ETHZ and EPFL)

Eligibility

Students and doctoral candidates enrolled at a Swiss university (only universities with classroom-based learning, incl. ETHZ and EPFL) are eligible to participate with their valid student ID.

Registration

Students and doctoral candidates enrolled at a Swiss university must be registered or activated in our course system every semester in order to be able to register for courses.

ETH students at the D-BSSE Basel:

ETH students at the D-BSSE Basel must register with the ASVZ for participation in Unisport Basel here (please note the registration period). After registering, the personal data will be transferred to our course system so that online registration for Unisport Basel is possible. All ETH students at the D-BSSE Basel who have registered with the ASVZ for Unisport Basel will receive their Unisport login details by e-mail before the start of online registration.

All other students from Swiss universities (incl. ETHZ and EPFL):

For the registration or activation, the validated student ID or proof of enrolment (scan) and the current contact details must be sent to unisport@unibas.ch. When registering online, the "LOGIN ÜBRIGE" button, the email address entered during registration and the unisport password must be used. The unisport password can be requested during online registration.


Foreign Universities

Eligibility

Students and doctoral candidates enrolled at foreign universities (only universities with classroom-based learning) are entitled to participate with the "Sports ID YELLOW Uni abroad".

How to apply for a yellow foreign student sports ID

The "sportsID YELLOW Uni abroad" can be obtained free of charge for each semester at the University Sports Office upon presentation of a valid student ID or proof of enrolment. Alternatively, the sports ID can be applied for by email to unisport@unibas.ch. The valid student ID or proof of enrolment (scan), current contact details and a passport photo (only for first-time applications) must be enclosed with the application. Registration

Holders of a valid "Sports ID YELLOW Uni abroad" can register for courses. When registering online, the "LOGIN ÜBRIGE" button, the email address entered during registration and the unisport password must be used. The unisport password can be requested during online registration.


University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW)

Eligibility of students enrolled at FHNW

Students enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) are entitled to participate with their valid student ID.

Eligibility for exchange students at FHNW

Exchange students of the FHNW need a "sportsID YELLOW FHNW exchange students" to participate. The sports ID can be obtained free of charge from the University Sports Office on presentation of the current confirmation of enrolment and an official identity card. Alternatively, the sports ID can be applied for by email to unisport@unibas.ch. The valid student ID or proof of enrolment (scan), current contact details and a passport photo (only for first-time applications) must be enclosed with the application.   • Students enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) can register for courses online. When registering online, the "LOGIN ÜBRIGE" button, the FHNW email address and the unisport password must be used. The unisport password can be requested when registering online.
  • Holders of a valid "Sports ID YELLOW FHNW exchange students" can register for courses online. When registering online, the "LOGIN ÜBRIGE" button, the email address entered during registration and the unisport password are to be used. The unisport password can be requested when registering online.
