Data, information and information technologies are among the central operational factors of the University of Basel. The members of our university, be it in research, teaching or administration, often have to deal with data worthy of protection. Therefore, any data processing must meet high standards. Information security is concerned with ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of information, among other things.
The Information Security Officer of the University of Basel advises and supports university members on security aspects in the planning of projects. She conducts information events, campaigns and training courses for university members to promote security awareness and the secure use of information and information technologies.
