Course registration

All students matriculated at the University of Basel must register for all courses and lectures they wish to attend. This regulation also applies to all doctoral students attending courses and lectures.

Semester registration

All matriculated students and doctoral students currently enrolled at the University of Basel will receive via email correspondence to their unibas email address an invitation to register for the forthcoming semester within a stipulated registration period.

Transcript of records

A transcript of records is an official, unsigned document. It is issued by the rectorate to confirm the number of credit points earned each semester by students formally enrolled at the University of Basel.

Replacement documents

Replacement documents in case of loss or a need for additional documents can usually be requested for a fee.

Licentiate-MA equivalence

The University of Basel confirms the equivalent status of a licentiata philosophiae / licentiatus philosophiae degree (lic. phil.) with a degree of a Master of Arts (MA).
