Social Anthropology
The MA in Social Anthropology aims to provide students with advanced and in-depth knowledge and skills in the comparative cultural, social, and historical analysis of human behavior in different societies and environments.
Building on the foundations of social anthropology acquired in the Bachelor's program, students in the Master's program are guided to expand their theoretical knowledge, delve deeper into a specific subfield, and acquire specific knowledge about a research area. This allows students to develop their personal areas of expertise in understanding certain social behaviors in a globalized world.
Students also learn social anthropological field research methods, acquire the ability to design and carry out an individual research project, evaluate the findings, interpret them in relation to the theoretical framework, and present them in a scientific text.
In addition to the information evening, you can arrange a personal consultation. Sandra Burri will answer any questions you may have about the Master's program in Anthropology. Please fill out the form below. She is looking forward to hearing from you.
